Barrel Horse Prospect

Name: VF Bullys Rose a.k.a. "Firefly"

AQHA Sorrel Mare, DOB May 29, 2004

Sire: Bullys on Fire, Dam's Sire: Magic Rocket Bar

This mare has it all! Her sire, Bullys on Fire, (read credentials on above sale horse) is magnificent and throws a high percentage of palominos and buckskins, so as a brood mare, this mare might throw color. Her dam's paternal grandsire is the phenomenal Fol's Native, who's progeny have dominated pro barrel racing for years. Her dam's maternal grandsire is the impressive Flaming Jet.

Firefly is for the serious barrel racer that is interested in winning. She is very athletic, quick, smart, and smooth gaited. She is beautifully built, with a short back and long underline. She is built to run and turn. She is muscular and very well proportioned. She has a low headset and is always collected in her movements. She was started under saddle by Anthony O'Brien in September 2007 and ridden about 2 weeks before being turned out to finish growing. She is attentive and is a natural athlete. She is now ready to resume being ridden and to start being ridden on a daily basis for training. This mare is about 15 hands and weighs about 1100 pounds. If someone is looking for a special barrel horse prospect that has everything going for her - here she is. We feel that Firefly could be a top barrel horse in any area, pro rodeo, futurities, etc. We strongly feel that Firefly has the ability, athleticism, and intelligence to soar in a barrel racing career. Barrel Horse

Name: A Bit of Whiskey, a.k.a. "Paddy."

AQHA Sorrel gelding, DOB 4-16-2001.

Sire: Paddys Irish Whiskey, Dam's Sire: Doc O Dynamite.

Doc O Dynamite sold as a 21 year old for $70,000.00

Both Paddys Irish Whiskey and Doc O Dynamite came from the prestigious John Scott Ranch in Billings, Montana. This horse has a wonderful disposition. He is a delight to be around. He tries very had to please. Very broke and easy to ride. Handles well. Loves people and is a very kind horse. Gentle enough that a three year old child has ridden him while he was being led in his cool-outs. This very talented gelding was started by Justin Johnson of Saratoga, Wyoming, who did a great job.

Currently Paddy is being hauled and seasoned by Jennifer Rose. He is working barrels very well and adapts to any conditions. Great minded, smart and is good on bad and slick, as well as deep ground. He works barrels in a snaffle with no tie down. Lots of set, tight turns, low headed. No vices, easy to haul. Quick snappy style of working barrels. This is a quality barrel horse with loads of heart and try. This would be an excellent horse for someone wanting to go to the WPRA pro rodeos, high school or collegiate rodeos, or senior rodeos. This horse has the breeding, speed, ability, mind, and potential to do well at any level. $18,000.00.
